THE aIM

Reinform the ways in which Oporto train new staff and refresh existing staff knowledge in Customer Experience.

aPPROACH

Understanding that most of Oporto’s staff are young influential teens who consumer - and retain - information at an extremely fast pace, snd who value convenience and their free own time highly, we wanted to rid the workplace of dry outdated online training modules. Retention of information in this form just doesn’t stick. And no young person wants to sit at a computer after work hours.

We proposed a new way in - something that feels native to the target audience - consumable within seconds and in the palm of their hands. That’s how we developed TEAM TALK - Oporto’s new CX training system that mirrors the trends and speed of TikTok content. We’ve mapped out and filmed content that educates viewers on correct cooking techniques, cleaning protocols, exceptional customer service, and nuances that help impact flavour and experiences unique within Oporto.

IMPACT

Content consumed so conveniently on our hand-held devices, wherever we may be, is gaining momentous attraction. The Oporto TikTok account has increased its’ following within a few months of TEAM TALK’s launch, receiving almost 12,000 views and counting. Because the training content is LIVE on TikTok we hope to reach staff and consumers alike - leaving a positive impression of the high-quality food standard and customer experience Oporto thrive to achieve daily. We’ve managed to create a tool that can be built upon rather in-expensively, develops with trends, has room to grow with potential UCG partnerships, and feels right for right now.
