With so many uncertainties in 2020 & 2021, Westfield wanted to guarantee a little festive magic for its customers, to help brighten their time in-centre. In partnership with Zebrar, the Sibling team developed an augmented reality experience themed around the Westfield Christmas elves. Not only was this a great interactive moment for customers - particularly in entertaining children - but the increase in dwell time in centre was markably significant. To maintain the cheerful, interactive atmosphere of Westfield Living Centres, along side the gamification we created a series of installations around the centre like a “Reindeer Crossing”, where footprints of animals hint they must be close by, and tangible buckets overflowing with carrots to suggest tempting the reindeer out of hiding.
